My new experiment that I have decided to create involves the subject being my dad. Though he's an adult he has the disgusting habit of picking his nose at night in the living room while watching television. In this experiment my environment will be my living room from the times of 8-10 p.m. while my dad is sitting on the couch watching television. The behavior that I want to increase or make stronger is his ability not to pick his nose and weaken/ or make less frequent of him picking his nose in this environment. The consequence in this experiment will be every time that he does go to pick his nose I will proceed to throw a pillow across the room at him (preferably at his head). This will hopefully induce a negative reaction on my dad making him realize that picking his nose is a bad and inappropriate thing. With this experiment, like many others there is room for error. Some example of error or flaw in this experiment include him picking his nose will I'm not in the room to through a pillow at his head, along with the fact that though he might stop picking his nose in this specific environment what's to say that he does not pick up this behavior in a different environment.
